mordecai is better than uGalek, Gorgorab is better than Jorrg, and there's quite a few good AoE atk down champs that provide more utility than Oathbound). Overall I'd definitely book Tayrel first, and he should help you get more books at which point each of the remaining champs can be worth spending books on, but only if you don't have a better choice by time time you have your books saved up (I.E. the Steadfast Banner-Lords Baron Banner-Lords Oathbound Banner-Lords Stag. That said Jorrg is great for Arena and dungeon survivability (all revives are great), uGalek is worthwhile for spiders (each HP burn on a spiderling will deal damage to the big spider, so after about stage 11 or 13 AoE HP burn is the easiest way to progress), and Oathbound is usable for overall progression (AoE atk down and random block skills can help you push through waves). Finally Spider-20 clear, Oathbound is AWESOME as a poison target - def-based, tanky, negative affinity. Tayrel will bring you the most progression both in Clan Boss (CB) and outside of it (atk down is the most important CB debuff, AoE def down is the most important dungeon wave debuff).
